SHOCK-RESISTANT MINI SMD QUARTZ CRYSTALS FOR HANDHELD TRANSMITTERS

The clocking specialist PETERMANN-TECHNIK from Landsberg/Lech offers a very small SMD02502/4 series SMD crystal in 2.5 x 2.0 mm/4-pad ceramic housing. This crystal was specially designed for use in wireless communication, among other applications. The crystal’s extremely high shock resistance, low price and exceptionally wide frequency spectrum of 12 ~ 125 MHz also makes it an excellent clocking unit for handheld transmitters. The exceptionally low resistance means that an excellent oscillator safety factor can be achieved. The SMD025202/4 is widely used in transmitter ICs by Melexis, Semtech, Micrel, STMicroelectronic, Infinenon, Texas Instruments, Silicon Labs and many other manufacturers of transmitter ICs. The SMD02502/4 is available in the entire temperature range from -40 to +125 °C, with 8 ppm crystals ensuring that very narrow-band transmission solutions can be realised. The service portfolio of the specialists at PETERMANN-TECHNIK also includes circuit development, analyses, simulations and matching tests. “Everything from one source” is the philosophy at PETERMANN-TECHNIK, which aims to provide the best possible customer support.
